Who we are

For a long time the TZDO and the adjoining TechnologyParkDortmund have been widely recognised as prominent addresses for technology-orientated businesses and startups. Over the years 283 business companies employing more than 8,500 people have relocated here.

As one of the leading technology centres in Germany the TZDO functions as a magnet and a contact centre for ground-breaking technologies. These range from information technology via bio-medicine and micro-systems technology to production and manufacturing techniques.

The TZDO has become an important initiator, pioneer and symbol of the structural change in the east of the Ruhrgebiet and is a marketing brand mark in North-Rhine Westphalia.
