Since meanwhile more than 20 years the TechnologieParkDortmund including the TechnologieZentrumDortmund - which has to be seen as its incubator - have been widely recognized as the prominent high-tech adress for technology-orientated businesses. Currently more than 280 businesscompanies employing more than 8.500 people have relocated here.

A crucial reason for the TechnologieParkDortmund as a site for competitive companies is definitely the close proximity to the unisversity, the  university of applied sciences and the research institutes.  The high number of activities just as the resuming synergies among companies and institutes are an additional magnet for external campanies to settle into the TechnologieParkDortmund.
