The programme is aimed at all age groups from kindergarten to upper school.
KITZ.do is supported by the non-profit organisation s.i.d. gGmbH and various Dortmund institutions.
TechnologieZentrumDortmund has been one of the shareholders and supporters of KITZ.do, which is based at the B1st Software Factory Dortmund, Rheinlanddamm 201, has.
As an extracurricular learning centre and student research laboratory, KITZ.do is now one of the largest student laboratories in NRW with over 100,000 participants and is firmly anchored in Dortmund's educational landscape.
Here, everything revolves around science education along the entire education chain and career guidance in STEM professions (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology).
In professionally equipped laboratories and workshops, young people realise their own ideas, implement innovative projects and develop important skills such as problem solving, teamwork and digital competence almost incidentally.
They are accompanied and supported by a dedicated team of research assistants.
