In April 2005, the new MST Factory Dortmund is officially opened in the presence of over 300 invited guests as the first new building on the 110-hectare site of the former Hörder steel wasteland PHOENIX West.

With offices, laboratories and clean rooms as well as specialised infrastructure, the MST Factory Dortmund is the competence centre for micro- and nanotechnology of the TechnologieZentrumDortmund in the heart of the PHOENIX West technology park.

Seven companies with around 200 employees find the perfect conditions here to bring innovations to market maturity.
