At the Night of Biosignalling, Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts opens its doors and invites interested parties to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of biomedical engineering. Students and researchers will present exciting projects, interactive experiments and the latest technologies for visualising and understanding signals from the human body. Whether heartbeat, muscle activity or brain waves - here you can see how technology can save lives, promote health and shape the medicine of tomorrow.
Experience the „Night of Biosignalling“!
The Information Technology department of the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts is taking part in this exciting event for the first time this year, offering you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of biosignalling together with experts from all over Germany.
The Biosignals Night is organised by the Biosignals Expert Committee, which is part of the German Society for Biomedical Engineering in the Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (VDE) is the largest scientific and technical society for medical technology in Germany. The focus of the event is on the collection, processing and interpretation of biomedical data. The expert committee acts as a platform and mouthpiece and offers a strong network of experienced scientists.
Highlights of the Night of Biosignals
- Captivating presentations on the latest developments in biomedicine
- Live streams with contributions from several universities throughout Germany
- Direct presentations on site and inspiring discussion rounds
- Insights into current and completed research projects in the field of biomedical engineering
- Presentation of innovative work by students, including medical operating theatre robots, blood sampling by robot and brain-computer interfaces
- Interactive activities: Measure your brain and muscle activity and test games that are controlled by brain waves or muscle activity.
