As a competence centre of the TechnologieZentrumDortmund (TZDO), the ZfP offers the right infrastructure and a comprehensive range of services for founders, start-ups and SMEs that create innovations in production technology.

Three years earlier, in April 2005, the MST Factory Dortmund (MST) began operations in the immediate vicinity of the NDT. It is the TZDO's competence centre for micro- and nanotechnology.

With its two centres MST and ZfP, the TZDO has helped drive the successful development of the PHOENIX West technology park as a pioneering location.

Today, the NDT offers founders and companies modern office space, physical laboratory space and hall space on a rental basis on a total area of around 10,000 m².

Currently, 32 companies with around 270 employees are transforming new ideas and research results into marketable products and technologies.
