Committed women with expertise, knowledge and experience came together at the event organised by the Mittelstand. BVMW - Bundesverband mittelständische Wirtschaft came together to support each other according to the motto "By women for women".
BMZ Director Dr Joanna Stachnik introduced the guests to the TechnologieZentrumDortmund, the Biomedical Centre Dortmund and the Centre for Integrated Drug Research Dortmund (ZIW). The ZIW is being built on the Dortmund Science and Technology Campus and is part of the Biomedicine Centre Dortmund. It will provide start-ups and technology companies with highly specialised development and laboratory space on a rental basis for technology transfer in the field of biotechnology and, in particular, drug development.
The 40 or so participants were also treated to interesting pitches: Natalie Lewandowski, Kolping Germany, shed light on the Qualification Opportunities Act for Employees. Melanie Flusche, Managing Director of the Dortmund Employment Agency, provided information on funding for employers on the subject of skills shortages. Dr Miriam Gizbili spoke about nutritional medicine, micronutrients and the possibility of avoiding illness with a healthy diet.
