The new location for excellent cutting-edge research in

New laboratory and development spaces for research, development and technology transfer
With the Centre for Integrated Drug Research Dortmund (ZIW), a new research location for companies in biomedicine, life sciences, and integrated drug development is being established on the Dortmund Science and Technology Campus. As part of the Dortmund Centre for Biomedicine, the ZIW combines highly specialised laboratory infrastructure with direct access to the site's technology and research network.
Utilise new S1 and S2 laboratory spaces with comprehensive basic equipment for biological and chemical laboratories, flexibly usable rental units, and supplementary office spaces in close proximity to excellent cutting-edge research. The building is aimed at start-ups and growth companies that wish to accelerate development processes and advance new active ingredients under professional laboratory conditions.
The building will be completed in the summer of 2026.

Specialised laboratory and office space for companies in biomedicine, life sciences, and integrated drug discovery is being created at the Centre for Integrated Drug Research in Dortmund. The new building offers modern S1 and S2 laboratory infrastructure, extensive basic equipment for biological and chemical applications, and flexibly usable office space within a technology-oriented environment.
The site will be created in direct proximity to the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology, the Leibniz Institute for Analytical Sciences (ISAS) and the TU Dortmund.
