The greenhouse.ruhr Scholarship programme aimed at (aspiring) founders with a socially innovative and/or ecologically innovative business or project idea.
The programme thus supports the impact-oriented further development of sustainable start-up projects in Dortmund and the region!
The programme offers participants:
- Expert knowledge on founding-related topics, particularly with reference to social entrepreneurship
- comprehensive support and mentoring through individual team coaching
- upon request, additional bookable consulting services (e.g. legal advice)
- Access to a strong network of like-minded individuals within the Dortmund startup ecosystem, (social) enterprises, social entrepreneurship experts, and much more.
- Prize money of at least €2,000 up to €10,000 for the TOP1
- overall, intensive support over four months for refining sustainable business ideas

Overall, eight teams (sole founders and founding teams) can enter the greenhouse.ruhr to be admitted to the scholarship programme 2026.
There are no entry requirements: any individual or organisation with a well-developed business idea, or an existing business looking to further develop a sustainable business concept, can apply for the programme. Applications for the scholarship programme can be submitted online until 19 April, 11:59 PM at Application form .
Participation:
The programme for the selected scholarship teams will commence on 29 and 30 May with an introductory workshop at the innoclub (TechnologieZentrumDortmundShould you apply for the scholarship programme, please take a look at the event schedule with all meetups in Dortmund and do your best to keep those dates free.
