TZDO takes part in the STADTRADELN competition: employees cover everyday journeys by bike in a climate-friendly way

The TechnologieZentrumDortmund (TZDO) is participating in the nationwide STADTRADELN competition, which is taking place in Dortmund from 4th May to 24th May 2025. Numerous TZDO employees are travelling their daily routes in a climate-friendly way by bicycle, thus collectively collecting kilometres as a team in the competition.

"Less exhaust fumes, less noise, less congestion: as a team in CITY CYCLING, we are climate-friendly mobile, improve the quality of life locally and keep fit at the same time. That's why we're happy to take part as a team," says TZDO Managing Director Dirk Stürmer, who is an enthusiastic cyclist himself.

CITY CYCLING is an international campaign organised by Climate Alliance Services. For 21 days, teams across Germany pedal for their local authority and together promote cycling, climate protection and quality of life.

The CITY CYCLING campaign aims to persuade as many people as possible to simply get on their bikes and travel everyday journeys by bike rather than by car.

The results of the competition show how many people are already travelling by bike and thus making a contribution to climate protection. CITY CYCLING aims to draw attention to the needs of cyclists and is therefore also aimed at local politicians who make local decisions about cycling infrastructure.
