Delegation from the Netherlands visits the TZDO
How strong the location Dortmund in the fields Micro- and nanotechnology was impressively demonstrated on 21 January 2026:
A delegation of Dutch companies and network partners travelled to the Dortmund Chamber of Industry and Commerce Station with us in the TechnologyCentreDortmund (TZDO) and more precisely on the areas of the innoclub Dortmund.

Here, TZDO Managing Director Dirk Stürmer The range of our competence centres, which offer technology-oriented companies from areas such as micro and nanotechnology, logistics, biomedicine, production technology and IT optimal development conditions.
Another stop on the visit was the MST Factory Dortmund, the competence centre for micro- and nanotechnology headed by Dr Christoph Gehlen. On an area of around 9,400 m², the MST Factory Dortmund Since 2005, it has provided state-of-the-art laboratories, clean rooms and infrastructure for around 200 employees from six companies.
With the Elmos Semiconductor SE and the IVAM Association for Microtechnology the delegation visited other key players at the location. Together, they reflect the strength and networking of micro and nanotechnology in our region.
The visit underlines the fact that the demand for expertise, partnerships and innovative structures in micro and nanotechnology is high internationally and that there is a great need to develop new technologies. Dortmund is right in the middle of it.
