LOG-IT Club at Dortmund Port: Networking with foresight

Packed terrace, view of Dortmund port and plenty of familiar faces from the logistics sector. Following the general meeting of the LOG-IT Club e.V. did it go to the on 03.09. TYDE Studios at Dortmund Port: networking in a relaxed atmosphere, with a view of the water and plenty of conversation topics from the logistics industry.

As TZDO we were glad to support the evening. No coincidence, because our partnership with the LOG-IT Club has existed for many years and the network continues to grow: with now around 450 members, the club is one of the strongest logistics networks in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is precisely this mix of corporations, SMEs, start-ups, research and network partners that we have been taking part in for over 40 years.

And while we are on the subject of future topics: right nearby, at the Dortmund Science and Technology Campus, our newest competence centre will soon be opening its doors – the Centre for Logistics and IT (ZLI). Around 5,300 m² of office space and 1,500 m² of hall and testing space are being built there, right next to Fraunhofer IML, Lamarr Institute and TU Dortmund, a new hotspot for start-ups, scale-ups and established companies from logistics, IT, AI and supply chain management. We are eager to see which ideas find their way from there into practice.

A heartfelt thank you to the team at the LOG-IT Club – first and foremost Peter Abelmann, Janine Elter, Maike Lehmann and Patrick Reuter – for the superb organisation, the reliable cooperation and the open exchange. We look forward to many more joint projects for the logistics hub of Dortmund and NRW!
